The rectangles article that I wrote (http://www.joebartholomew.com/rectangles.html) is more math than art, but I plan to turn the results into some spiral paintings, similar to this:

My hope is that this will qualify as both painting and concept art — that is, I developed a concept that stands alone (as math), then applied it to visual art. I think the spiral paintings will have to stand alone, as well. I don't think they should require explanation.

So the concept is done, and now I'm on to the painting.
